Reinventing Performance Amplifiers
Musicians frequently perform in smaller, intimate settings where they sing and play an instrument. These instrumental-vocal performances require clear, high quality sound amplification, and features for supporting both microphone and instrument inputs. We have been looking at this application since 2003, especially focusing on the guitarist-singer application, considering ways to improve the sound, make the required equipment as small and light as possible, and bring the cost down so that even part-time musicians could afford a premium solution. The result of our work is the BagAmp.

BagAmp is a fully self-contained sound reinforcement system for live guitar-vocal performances that weighs about 25.4-pounds, including the bag and folding stand. Its overall size is a miniscule 3.5" x 36" x 8.7". Setting up for a gig with BagAmp is as easy as making one trip with your guitar or other instrument in one hand and the BagAmp over your shoulder. The case even has extra space for your mic, mic stand, pedals and other accessories.

BagAmp's patent pending design uses eight BagAmp-designed full-range 75mm Audio Piston™ loudspeaker drivers in a vertical line array configuration to produce breathtaking sound quality evenly projected across your audience, to the farthest depths of the room. Hearing a BagAmp performance for the first time is a pleasantly shocking experience any musician will enjoy. The most frequent reaction is, "How can that much sound come from that small product?"

BagAmp Features
BagAmp has been designed with the focus on sonic performance, and the understanding that today's musicians use their favorite outboard mixing, DI, effects and other sound modification products. So, rather than waste your money on second-rate "features", we have invested into solidly delivering the basics, with our main focus on sound quality.

BagAmp's multi-input dual-channel preamp section provides two identical channels that each accepts a 1/4" instrument input, an XLR mic input (with or without 48VDC phantom power), or an XLR line level input (with or without a -10dB level matching pad). Both channels provide a gain control knob, a simple EQ knob, and a basic hall reverb. The rear panel provides an XLR jack for line level output to a sub, a mixer, a recording feed, or a house PA, with a ±10dB level adjustment for signal matching.

Perfection Extended

BagAmp is perfect not only for the guitarist, but for anyone seeking a highly portable vocal or music PA system -- from public speakers, to various instrumentalists, to auctioneers, to sales or conference users. BagAmp is the right choice for any small venue mobile PA requirement.
